SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 9

Congratulating Matewan High School for winning the 1993 Class A state football championship.

Whereas, The Matewan High School football team proved to be the best Class A team in the state; and
Whereas, The Matewan High School football team ended the 1993 regular season with a 9-2 record and went undefeated in the playoffs; and
Whereas, Coach Yogi Kinder and his assistants, Tony Clusky, Jimmy Keatley, Louie Harmon, Blaine Pruitt, Danny Perkins and David McCoy, were able to lead their team to victory; and
Whereas, The team includes the following members: Anthony Scales, Michael Golf, Ronnie Hatfield, Malcolm Kinder, Eric Kennedy, Kelly Fields, Jason Simpkins, Greg Estepp, Matt Moore, Matt O'Brian, Mark McCoy, Rodney Joplin, Jacob Estepp, Reggie Moore, Chris Moore, A. J. Johnson, R. K. Allara, Ray White, Hady Ford, Richard Allara, Wilson Chafin, Joe Hatfield, Adam Chapman, Paul Coleman, Tad Moore, Leroy Cantrell, Wetzel Alberry, Bobby Looney, Scott Moore, Sid Cisco, Chris Daniels, Steven Taylor, Benji Starr, Richard Mahon and Robyn Justice. The equipment manager is Wilson Chafin, Sr., the trainer is David Lester and the managers are Ryan Kinder, Blaine Pruitt, Terance Pruitt andNick Carter; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That congratulations is hereby extended to the Matewan High School football team for winning the 1993 Class A state football championship; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to the team members, coaching staff and principal of Matewan High School.
